  1. The “best” coax depends on the installation.
    In a 50 ohm car installation RG58 is best.
    In a 50 ohm home installation used for HF bands, RG8 like Belden 8214 is best.
    For VHF and UHF home use something like Belden 9913 is best.
    For 75 ohm use Belden 9248 or equivalent RG6 is best for 99% of installations.
    Those few who have extremely long runs, a Belden RG11 is best
